A lot will depend on your wall siding and how far you want it to extend. Building the gable would be similar to building any roof. You need to ensure no rain or snow melt gets onto the wall - causing rot. A large extension would require either a pair of posts or an angled support connected to the wall. Attach a photo and desired dimensions. There are a lot of roof construction videos on You Tube or This Old House.
This is not a DIY project. It requires that you figure, and cut complex angles. It will also be necessary to remove shingles so you can attach the framing to the existing roof. Then, after the sheathing is put on you’ll need to re-roof the area where you removed shingles to attach the gable framing. Then you roof the new gable, tying into the main roof shingles. You’ll also need to know how to shingle the ‘valley’ by properly using the overlapping shingle technique or the roof will leak.

You also will need to meet building and safety codes. This may involve pulling permits and have inspections. Check with your local building department.
yes, of course, thank you
