Why are the small coconuts falling off the trees?
The small and some half grown coconuts are falling off the trees. Why is this and how do I prevent it?

Coconuts usually fall from the tree when they are ripe. Have you opened up one of the fallen ones to check the fruit nut inside? If you're sure they are not ripe and live in the US, I'd suggest contacting the Cooperative Extension in your area. The type of tree you have might just have small coconuts. Wishing you the best.

Maybe they needed more water or maybe they were over crowded and like apples shed some or maybe they are as big as they are going to get! Best wishes.
Call your County Extension Office and ask them. They have horticulturists there.
