Hi Manny, I clean mine every three months, you can purchase the proper de-scaler for it, and you can also use vinegar, but the vinegar will take longer. There are also instructions on the descaler, hope this video helps

Use a 50:50 mixture of vinegar and water. Run that through and then run water through for a few more "cups" until the vinegar smell is gone.
Blaaah to all. This is why i prefer to use an Antique Pyrex Fire Safe Glass Percolating coffee pot. Yes you need to clean or rinse them daily, but you never get fungus and other viruses effecting the respiratory system.
Now, you gotta imagine a 65 year old woman, 20 years after getting a Keurig gets COPD thanks to the fungus, and is very highly sensitive to strong odors as Vinegar emits.
Do any of these Answers help? No. The only reasonable answer is: Toss out the Keurig and get used to Boiling a Pot of Excellent Tasting Percolated Coffee (Folger's Columbian is highly recommended). There is nothing like a Good Old Fashioned Cup of Coffee.
