How can I put texture on my exterior steel front door before I paint?
My front door is steel. How can I put texture on it before I paint the front door?
I would recommend using a paint that is formulated for doors. Personal preference whether to spray or brush or roll. I don't spray unless I can take the door down.

I just repainted my back door with Rustoleum Marine Paint since it repels water great. It is a gloss finish. Very sturdy, I prefer marine paints for any outside projects. As to a good pre-painting deglosser, TSP is the old stand-by.
