Is there an effective DIY cleaner I can use for cleaning the bathroom?
What do I use to environmentally easily clean the bathroom? I have been using Scrubbing Bubbles, but the bottles no longer say 99.9% kills germs. I want to kill the germs and clean.

Use Odoban. Buy at Home Depot or order online. This stuff is amazing, has so many uses, and is inexpensive. You have probably never heard of it, but trust me--once you use it, it will replace many of your cleaning products. It smells wonderful, not strong, just leaves your room smelling so clean. Buy the gallon (around $9) and mix your own spray in a spray bottle. https://odoban.com/product/multipurpose-concentrate/
I use Method’s cleaning products. I buy them through Grove.com, but they are also at Target. Method’s products are more environmentally friendly than most.
Thank you both for the information.
I use comet on the toilets and pinesol to wipe down the cabinets. Find it is easier to do this several times a week. Also pour bleach over the toilet bowl brush and let it air dry before putting it away. I have this phobia about millions of germs growing on a wet and dirty toilet brush. Not a pretty sight!

Many pets in this household, including birds which are extremely suceptible to odors. Besides, think back 100 years - what did they use before chemicals were invented and became mainstream? Vinegar and ashes from the wood burning stove or fireplace.
Hi Ila - This is the shower cleaner that we use to help keep grout and tiles clean and minimize the mildew - it works on kitchen grout too. I've also included a great article about mold if it's gone that far. Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly

Hydrogen peroxide is a good disinfectant and when mixed with baking soda makes a great scrubber.
