Some of the gum old and new. Some of the gum is a large clump and some of it is a thin smear. How do I get gum out of clothes?

I was wearing a new dress, and ended up with yellow chewing gum from underneath a table. I have tried ice cubes, freezing it and using a removal spray. Please help me... See more
Put it in the freezer. Let harden. Scrape off with a sharp knife. Try removing the remainder with small amounts of peanut butter then launder.
Here's some info. Freezing the item--if you can--clothing for example--does work well!

I've heard Goo Be Gone works well on chewing gum
Freeze the item, then break off or scrape off the gum.
Apply an ice pack, then pick off the hardened gum. Good luck!
Ice cubes make it easier to remove. Put one in a cloth to save your fingers from freezing and rub it vigorously on the gum. You should be able to pull it up pretty easily. If the gum was in anything else you can use an oil, but that would not work with the fabric base. I would go with the ice cubes
Start with an ice cube to freeze it and then try scraping it off with a putty knife, or your fingernail. Careful not to damage the fabric.
