How would gray cabinets look in a black and tan kitchen?
I have Black Stainless Steel Applicances with Black & Tan granite countertops. I have chosen to do 2 different shades of grey. A Darker one on top & lighter one on bottom. My walls are a light cream color. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

That sounds beautiful Linda. I love the neutral combo and the grey and black is very hot. You will have to share a picture when it's done!
I would go darker on bottom, lighter on top. It would seem less top heavy and show less issues on the bottom cabinets.
Do you like the tan granite with the greys youāve chosen? Tan and grey are a tricky color combo to get right.
Hello there Linda,
Might I suggest you use the lighter colour at the top and the darker at the bottom of cabinets, because otherwise you could feel overpowered! You could always use the light grey with dark grey highlights or black or tan or both knobs/handles... or Dark grey carcass and light doors/drawers. Tan floor?
Yes, to Kathyās point, ādarkā goes on the bottom. Psychologically itās like black pants and a white shirt. We donāt wear white pants with a black shirt.
To pull off two-tone tan and gray, the easiest formula to explain in writing is: blue gray with warm tan.
Linda....I too would go dark bottom, light top and I believe it will be really nice and I agree...send us a before and after!
Yes, the dark on the bottom and light on the top. Very pleasing to the eye.
