Washable wallpaper is a good idea or just refresh or change the paint colour, or add a border or stick on tile covers etc. for Kitchen and or Bathroom.
Yards or Garden, Maintain and keep tidy the garden as is or if you intend staying for some years agree with the Landlord what you are allowed to do and get it in writing. Best wishes.
Hi Anita, I love wall decals. They can personalize a space, but don't damage the walls and can be swapped out easily. They are available everywhere from the dollar stores to Amazon for full wall types.

As a landlord myself, I appreciate when out tenants ask before making any permanent changes to the property. With that said there are so many things you can do to make a space yours. Removable wallpaper can make a wonderful accent wall. Window treatments can be added for color and rugs make a wonderful statement.
