If its a bathroom drain or tub drain use one of those little plastic snakes to remove the gunky hair. Then run hot water. Works in mine everytime. I got my snake at the Dollar Tree.
You could use a drain snake to unplug drains. They are very long with teeth up on one side. You feed it into the drain and then when you pull it back up, the teeth will grab onto hair, soap, and anything else that might be in the drain. No chemicals at all.
As soon as the drain slows, use a hair grabber to remove hair. It catches in the drain and then soap and gunk builds up.
Green Gobbler drain cleaner. It is not a harsh chemical.
Remove as much as possible with a snake or drain cleaning tool. Pour ½ cup baking soda then ½ cup white vinegar in the drain and cover, letting sit for 20 minutes. Boil water, remove cover, and pour water down the drain. You may have to repeat the process.
Baking soda and vinegar are for keeping drains clean. It usually does not unclog a clogged drain. Try Green Gobbler crystals. They are an organic product. See above post.
