How do I repair an electric fireplace that won’t turn on?
My electric fireplace stopped turning on. I removed it from the mantle and it was very dusty and neither the heater, fan nor the light bulbs turn on.

Unless you have skilled electrical background, I would either have an electrician look at it or replace the heater. So many house fires are started with these.
Hello Gloria! You don't mention the age of your electric fireplace. Sometimes they don't last very long depending on how much you use it. You might consider calling the company who made your fireplace for some suggestions. Maybe it's still under a warranty if it's newer. Unless you know how to repair it I wouldn't mess with it. It might just need to be replaced. Another option would be checking where you plug it in. Is that outlet tripped?
Have you checked for a fuse that may have been blown In the fireplace itself. And did you check to see if your circuit in on your breaker box has been tripped.
If you have info on the manufacturer and model number, you can Google to see if there is an electrical diagram available - or call the maker. Once you know how it's put together, you may be able to do proper troubleshooting.
I would call an electrical technician that specializes in fireplaces to take a look at it. It may need something replaced or something may be loose.
I would contact the manufacturer to see if it can be repaired by them.

Do you have your instruction book? I know I am guilty of keeping manuals forever. You may be able to find a phone number to call in there. Google the model number and see if it could be fixed. If it is old you may just have to replace it.
