How can I clean the stain on this chair?
I got this from yard sale, and not sure what kind of stain is on the chair, and I'm afraid to mess it up if I don't clean it the right way. What is the best way to clean this chair? Thank you!

What kind of material is the chair made of?
Assuming it's fabric, I would use an upholstery cleaner. If it is a vinyl product, I would scrub it with a soapy microfiber cloth. Many steamers have an upholstery attachment, and I think they are great. Good luck!
Ann: I think Cynthia's ideas are good ones. If they fail, you could always paint the fabric!!

You can use hydrogen peroxide to wet the stain and blot the stain with a clean cloth. Blot from the outside in. Try not to rub or it will spread. If all else fails just reupholster it.

If it is food-based, hydrogen peroxide. If it is rust-based then I would buy Wink laundry rust remover and dilute it. One can always do a second application vs chemically “degrading” the fabric.
Do not use a chlorine bleach on it.
If you feel it must be bleached (won’t work on rust) then use an oxygenated powdered bleach, once again very diluted.
Shop vac out the residue and rinse with distilled water spray bottle and shop vac again.
Ann....I would try Blue Magic. It is a spray that we purchase from AutoZone. If has worked on so many fabrics for us such as carpet, furniture, etc. I understand they sale at Walmart now but I have never purchased there. Good luck
I use a handheld Bissell cleaner for spot cleaning on upholstered furniture. Put a carpet cleaner formula in the machine and spray with the nozzle. Lightly scrub and suck up all the liquid. You will want to focus on the stains first. Then, move on to the entire piece. If you don't wet the all the upholstery, you can get water stains especially in white upholstery. This method does wonders to remove stains and you can also use this method on spot cleaning rugs. Good luck!
Mix 1/2 cup of dawn platinum, 2 cups of white distilled vinegar (warmed), 1/2 hydrogen peroxide in a spray 16 oz spray bottle. After you mix all of that, fill the rest of the bottle with distilled water (warmed). Mix it all well then spray on your stain. It’s an amazing comBo!
Big fan of Spot Shot carpet stain remover. Yes for fabric too. Blue can orange lid. Not their regular carpet cleaner but the aerosole can
