Quick Oak Cabinet Fix With Tiny Budget!
HI! Annie salon's chalk paint will adhere to Formica! You can paint them with chalk paint and then seal them with the wax. Wax is water repellent and washable!
Hi Debby, this is a very informative article that also discusses aftercare to keep your cabinets looking great. Hope it helps. https://www.bobvila.com/articles/how-to-paint-formica/

Follow the instructions and do not skip a step and they will turn out beautifully. ๐
Debby: I painted mine! ...take off hardware for a more professional look. Then, on clean surfaces, use a good primer and then two coats of a GOOD latex paint. When you reinstall cabinet doors (keep track of where each goes), treat them gently for a month or so -- to have the paint "cure."
Here are my cabinets... they have held up for years!
You could try painting them with General Finishes milk paint. It comes with a matching primer and sealer. I used it to paint my oak kitchen cabinets, and they turned out great! Iโm sure it would work on Formica cabinets, too. https://momhomeguide.com/my-painted-kitchen-cabinets-a-year-later/
Make sure you use a primer first and a oil base paint later for cleaning easy.
Here is how I did mine, they are holding up well! https://thehoneycombhome.com/painting-kitchen-cabinets/
