How do I restore a stainless steel sink?
I'm not sure if there is a chemical or what is on my stainless steel sink, but it will not hold its shine it loks very dull. I bought a spray, but it only last a day or so then it goes back to dullness. Any idea how to keep the shine?

Dec 5, 2019 - Method 1. Thorough Restoration. Choose a moderate abrasive. Rub in the direction of the finish lines. Rinse the stainless steel cleanser off. Wipe away hard water spots and rust with vinegar. Buff with flour if the sink is still grimy. Consider buffing with oil. Keep the sink dry for 24 hours if feasible.
Not all stainless steel sinks have a shine. I use some dawn dish liquid to clean my sink. Nothing really to keep a shine.
I clean mine with a product called Hope's Perfect Sink, which I found on Amazon. It's like a soft scrub for stainless steel. After rinsing,I wipe it and buff it with a microfiber cloth. If you want it even shinier, wipe it down with baby oil and buff it again.

My stainless steel has a minor luster to it, To keep it at it's shiniest, I use blue dawn dish soap and warm water, occasionally baking soda with a good rinse. Always hand dry with a dish towel.

Getting a Stainless Steel Sink Clean & Shiny
A paste of baking soda and Dawn dish washing soap should clean your sink well. The key to having it shine is to dry it well with a soft cloth after use. A very small amount of olive or another vegetable oil on a paper towel and rubbed in well will help it shine between uses.
