My glass cooktop is now dull in places where I scrubbed to clean off burnt food. How can I return the top to a polished, glossy finish? Any ideas to make it better?
Hi there. That's a tough one. Generally speaking once it's scratched, it's scratched. I have a few tiny scratches and when the glass is super clean, you cannot detect them at all. Here's how I clean it: https://www.exquisitelyunremarkable.com/2017/04/the-best-way-to-clean-glass-stove-top.html

Once your stove top is scratched there is not much you can do. I used auto compound on mine and it hid the scratch for several months. That is because after cleaning little by little it wears away.
Hi this is Peggy. Sorry you have scratches on you stove top. Hope this will help you. Can you fix scratches on glass top stove?
Buff the scratches with the baking soda paste until they are minimized or small surface scratches are gone. If the scratch is deep, you will not be able to completely eradicate it. Wipe away the baking soda paste with a clean, damp sponge and dry the surface with a soft, lint-free cloth.Dec 19, 2018

Buy a can of high temperature appliance spray paint in the closest color match. Spray a SMALL AMOUNT onto a paper plate, and using a toothpick, dab a little of this paint onto the scratch, dabbing the excess off with an old t-shirt rag.
Make SURE you don't use regular spray paint as it may catch fire...use the high temp kind only!
Hope this will help you out

You might be able to buff them out using a very fine abrasive such as toothpaste. Make sure you put a few drops of water on it, and don’t rub too hard or you’ll scratch it...let the toothpaste do the work.
