Keep in mind, citric acid etches the finish off of granite and etches deep into marble.
Sorry, this isn’t answering your question,
but Because fresh fruit and their juice ages and is not chemically stable, I would juice the lemons, put the juice in plastic ice cube trays and save it for cooking and drinking. Zest the rinds and freeze that.
The anti-oxidants & vitamin C are excellent for our bodies and if you want an acidic cleaner, use white vinegar as it won’t break down with age.

Hi Barbara,
Simply cut a lemon in half and rub it over your glass shower doors to remove gunk and build-up. If you prefer, you can also squeeze lemon juice directly on a sponge and then scrub the tough spots. Adding a bit of Borax to the sponge or surface of the cut lemon helps scrub away those really stubborn, hard water stains

You can scrub the bottoms of pots and pans with 1/2 of a lemon. Add baking soda for a bit of grit or you can also use table salt. This works great on copper bottomed pans. Also, slices of lemon in a glass container of water is a great way to clean the inside of your microwave. The steam from heating it in the microwave softens any grease or grime in the microwave and can easily be wiped away with a damp cloth. It leaves the mirowave smelling great.
