How can I upcycle different size medicine bottles to make a project?

If you scrape off the paint and go without the tops, smaller groupings of various sized bottles with a couple single stems of minimal looking florals would look quite classy.

Try E6000 glue, available at diy stores.

I hear you! I hate that these cannot be recycled...well, where I live, they can't. You should be able to paint on them, if you want. Lightly sand/scuff, or use a deglosser/liquid sandpaper. THEN, use a quality bonding primer, by Zinsser, Krylon, etc. Be sure to remove any residual dust. Come to think of it, you may need to degrease, as hands have oils, so the liquid sandpaper may be easiest and better option. Then paint.

Another option would be Modge Podge and decoupage, or even......Tool Dip.

Hot glue runs rarely perform long term. You need to use E6000. As to painting, prep is key, even with pill bottles. Either use the correct formula paint, and many like chalk paint. Light coats with proper drying time in between coats will render a better finish in the end result.

Oh, so many of my crafty ideas haven't turned out as planned! Have you thought about wrapping the bottles with different colors of yarn or decoupaging them with various colors of paper?

Have access to an outdoor fire pit? Melt them in there and let cool slowly for at least a day.

Then wash the ashes off and drill holes in the top with a masonry drill bit ($3) and hang as window art.

I would try to get two colors to melt together and I would try to get some of them be real flat and sell them as cheese or snack trays.

You could use a Cake board as your base and put the tallest bottle in the middle and subsequent rounds /squares etc. could be of slightly smaller bottles giving you a graduated effect. If you secure each row of bottles with tape and then stick as one, it might be easier. Use for flowers or pencils or whatever you like. You could also use a baking tin or a sweet tin lid or place them in the large sweet tin and then decorate the tin. Hope that helps.

Wash them thourghly, removing the labels. I use them for my homemade spice mixtures. Place an adhesive label on it. I use the wide labels and list the ingredients.

Clean them and cover with decorative contact paper to cover. I then use them to elevate cake layers along with cardboard rounds.

Another idea is to remove personal information and donate them to organization that sends them to Third World countries for Doctors to use when dispensing medicines. Many Churches have such ministries.
