Hi Jeanne, have you tried a Magic Eraser on it?
I also read that hairspray will work, but I could not get the website to open
The Leather Apparel Association does not recommend any home remedies; they may contain harsh chemicals that can damage the leather.
If your pocket book has a shiny patina or a glossy surface, it's probably been coated and will be easier to treat. Use a commercial product designed specifically for this purpose (available at dry cleaners or shoe-repair shops). Follow the directions carefully and be sure to test in an inconspicuous area first.
You can also try what I do: Dip a cotton swab in rubbing alcohol. It may wipe away the marks. Or take stained expensive leather items to a dry-cleaning shop that specializes in treating leather and suede.
There are a lot of hints here, but I recommend a dry cleaner if it's an important piece. The home remedies may work, but they may also stain the leather. https://www.hometalk.com/diy/clean/furniture/how-to-clean-leather-furniture-and-accessories-with-ease-42024919

Rubbing alcohol is the best thing I have found for removing ink. Put on a microfiber cloth and apply a little at a time in a circular motion.
It worked. Thanks
