Clean and sand the metal table. Then spray with Rustoleum. Use spray paint for plastic on the chairs.

For the plastic chairs, just clean them up really well and let dry. Spray paint.
Rustloeum and Krylon are 2 great products.
Rustoleum and Krylon brand spray paints have awesome coverage for either metal or plastic items. Clean all the items well, let dry, possibly sand away any rusty spots on the metal table and spray with the appropriate paints. You'll end up with a nice set of table and chairs.
Clean really well, then prime with automobile primer. Rustoleum makes one. Then use Rustoleum color of your choice, Let dry no need to seal.

Spray paint come in multiple finishes including satin and matte which may be a nice sheen for your furniture painting project. The Rustoleum spray paints get my highest recommendation.
Universal line has a wonderful applicator spray tip - that can offer effortless and professional results.
I’ve use the universal paint on my metal mesh patio set and on plastic planters. I have had a fabulous results with this product.
