You don't mention what kind of tile you have. It is most important to make sure you have the right primer and paint for your tiles. Sealing your painted tile will help it last longer.

Hi Jan, it is like painting and stenciling a wall but you do have to have paint and primer that will stick to the kind of tile you have. A primer and a sealer are important to use to get the look you want that will be durable in the long run. There are a lot of projects people have put on here about painting tile and here is the link.
