Clean a kitchen from years of cooking.?
My kitchen is wood cupboards and wallpaper. I've tried store bought products for cleaning and they are ineffective. My cupboards are tacky as is the wallpaper. I need help, I'd like a clean kitchen. Anyone have any surefire ideas.

It sounds like you have a build-up of grease on the cupboards. I would start with a grease-cutting dish soap and warm water on a cloth. If that doesn't do it, use vinegar on a cloth, rinsing often.
Linda: First of all, you'll have to strip off the wallpaper. That is not an easy task... but I've done it --- just messy.

Then use a product called Krud Cutter on those cabinets.

You must have a gas stove. The chemical they put in gas so we can smell it when it leaks leaves a sticky residue on anything in the kitchen. Hot water and Dawn usually works on a daily basis but for a build up I would suggest cleaning with Greased Lightening cleaner/degreaser. You can usually get it from Walmart in a spray bottle or order a gallon from an on line supplier.
TSP is a good grease cutting cleaner. Krud Kutter also is good. One cup of vinegar to one gallon warm water and a few squirts of Dawn dish liquid for a homemade cleaner.

Get Purple Power or a good cleaner degreaser from the Auto store. Use TSP, Krud Kutter or Simple Green.
Hi Linda,
I always use equal parts of white vinegar and water with a few drops of Dawn. I've had amazing success with this mixture. Wishing you the best.
Spray everything down with GP66 or another food safe degreaser. Let it sit for a while then wipe down.
You can also make a hydrogen peroxide & baking soda scrub.
