How do I get the artist paint(the kind of paint people use for wall painting) off a cotton shirt?

To remove latex paint from clothes, start by dampening the stained fabric with some warm water. Then, pour a liberal amount of rubbing or isopropyl alcohol over the stain and let it sit for a few minutes. While you wait, rub the fabric against itself to help break up the paint.

I don't paint do really don't know this. How is artist paint different from reg. paint? Is it just that it is oil based?

If it's acrylic artist paint, it's water base

Use an alcohol-based product to try and break down the bonds in the plastic layer. Rubbing alcohol, some nail varnish removers, and even an alcohol-based hairspray all work well. Rub the product on the stain until you begin to see some of the colour transferring from the fabric to the cloth. Always be sure to test on an inconspicuous area first.

Equal parts Peroxide and water( 1/2 cup) with 5 drops of Blue Dawn dish liquid. Brush into stain and blot- repeat until gone. Took red paint out of my white carpet :)
