Thin the paint and apply in light, thin coats. Wipe before completely dry.
Hi! My method is simple. Water down some gray paint and white or off white paint (or a color). The gray is your base coat. You are not looking for complete coverage. Then, using a barely damp brush dipped in your white (or color) drag the brush on the wood following the grain. Too much coverage? Wipe some off, or sand lightly. Practice on scrap wood to find the look you want. Good luck and stay safe!
