Just start out with some warm soapy dish soap water preferably using a dish soap that removes grease. You may need a soft bristle hand brush to scrub the vinyl because it is probably textured. Rinse/wipe off with clear water.

70% water, 30% white vinegar makes a great all-purpose vinyl siding cleaner that removes light mold and mildew stains.
Simple Green offers an environmentally friendly cleanser that is specially formulated for use on vinyl and aluminum siding, stucco, terra cotta roof tiles and painted wood. The non-toxic biodegradable concentrate can be used manually or with pressure washers.
General household cleansers can be used on tough dirt and stains, and including those created by top soil, grass, grease, oil, rust, crayon, ink and bubble gum. Rust stains may be removed using products designed for this purpose (e.g., Super Iron Out and Instant Rust Out).
Vinegar and water is always a good way to start.
Krud Kutter is very good. Apply and use a pressure washer or high pressure water hose to get it off the siding.
Hello Marsha,
UPVC cleaner or Car cleaner or even toothpaste (not gel)..........
I always start with the simplest and work my way through. A magic eraser and some soapy water using Dawn dish detergent might be all you need. Good luck and stay safe!
Be careful about using a grease cutting dish detergent on vinyl siding, as it is possible to adversely affect the finish. Try a lemon dish soap, warm water, and microfiber towel, with warm water. Scrub carefully, to avoid damage.Rinse, and determine if you need more elbow grease or another cleaner. To be safe, contact the vinyl siding manufacturer for best guidance.
Power wash it?
Hi Marsha, The stains on the siding are the result of moisture; that much is for certain. When water runs through the wood and wall sheathing, it picks up tannins in the wood and leaves dark stains on the siding.
70% water, 30% white vinegar makes a great all-purpose vinyl siding cleaner that removes light mold and mildew stains. For a stronger solution, mix together one-third cup powdered laundry detergent, two-thirds cup powdered household cleaner, one quart liquid laundry bleach and one gallon of water
Hope this helps you out!
