How to Build a Stone Foundation
https://www.wikihow.com/Build-a-Stone-Foundation
You would need a latex modified mortar mix to adhere the field stone. Use blue painters tape every other course to hold it in place as the mortar hardens. With the tape and gravity it should stay in place. Apply the motar to the foundation with a 1/2" notched trowel. Also butter the back of the field stone before applying to the foundation. This creates a suction and better bond.
I would say by adding new cement but you will need some prep work. https://www.wikihow.com/Add-Concrete-to-Existing-Concrete
Hello Lillie,
You would need a mortar mix with added PVA glue. Start at the bottom. Leave a gap between stones and point as you go using the same mix. Hope that helps.
You could use Quikrete to attach the stone. Check out this tutorial: https://www.jennaburger.com/2015/06/adding-a-stone-veneer-to-a-concrete-foundation-wall/
I would rent a wet tile saw and “dress” or cut the back side of each stone so that the courses bond well with the mortar.
I would also recommend pouring a concrete ledger for the base course, so that it’s almost level, but tipping down or away from the foundation wall. That slope would be about 1/4”:12”.
Go to Home Depot you will need a adhesive and a cement then a grout after
