What is your question? Do you want to put in a window? No room for a window?
Grace: I did not have a window in my little bathroom -- so I framed a photo of one and put it in there!!!
If you don't have a window in your bathroom, it's very important to have a vent fan and use it in there.
Our basement powder room has no window - it still looks great (and was in Better Homes and Gardens magazine!): https://www.frugalfamilytimes.com/2017/11/no-rough-in-no-problem-why-we-chose-saniflo-for-basement-bathroom.html?m=1
just make sure you have a good exhaust fan. :)
Yes, a minimum of 70 CFM fan is required in the bathroom.
If you want to install a window, you’ll need to hire a pro helper, as not only is the framing to be considered, but weatherstripping & flashing are critical. Buy a Low-e double pane gas filled window.
Retrofitting a window into any room is fairly straight forward. However it will result in some finishing. It needs to framed like it was being added to a bare wall.
We have a spare bathroom with no window. Ended putting in a solar tube and have lots of light now. So much that a few people have looked around for a light switch to turn off the light during the day. Got the solar tube at Lowes for less then $100.
Like others have stated it is important to have an exhaust fan.

My bathroom is really dark wondering how to lighten the room. No window.
White paint, lighting on the ceiling higher wattage, lighting around the mirrors, larger mirror reflects light, glass how’re doors reflects light, nite light. Add rope lighting under the cabinet hidden. Home Depot and Lowe’s sell fake windows or one can be made with shutters.
One of the fastest ways to add life to a bathroom without a window is to change the lightbulbs in the light fixtures to LED. If the bathroom/house is old, most likely the lightbulbs are the old incandescent type that give off a murky yellow color, or fluorescent that give off a harsh greenish color.
LED light is comparatively shadowless, bright and clean looking, and can in itself change how the other colors in the room appear.
My next suggestion is to paint the walls and ceiling a neutral color. This will make the room seem larger, and the new fresh light-colored paint will reflect the light around the room, rather than absorb it.
