Here's some info for you! My variegated hostas are planted in a more shady area of my yard. Some hostas do better in a shady area and some prefer more sun so you have to pick the right ones for your garden.

They are so easy to work with - truly just dig a hole and plop them in! :)
Hostas are basically shade loving plants. Since they grow from tubers you just dig a hole, drop them in and cover them.
