How to repair rust hole in firepit?
My daughter gave me a firepit she got from her buy nothing group. I purchased supplies to refinish and remove the rust, but she wanted to try it out. There are now 2 rust holes - can it be saved??

Yeah - I saw that. It has an actual hole in it now, and this doesn't really answer the hole question. I am not sure the repair for the car would work on something that will have a fire in it. Thanks for looking though!

Thank you - I suspect there is no hope for saving mine, as the rusted out spots are in the "bowl" part. At least I can save the screen cover, and maybe we can use the frame of the base to make a built in one.
I don’t think you can repair the holes at this point. You could try putting a small metal grill in there over it to hold the wood up a bit.
