Hi Kat, you're asking about the "color" of paint, correct? I've seen many cabinetry stained in expresso stain and it can be very beautiful, so I'm sure paint would/could be equally attractiv. Works especially well with stainless appliances and can provide a very modern look to a home.

Do you want to know where to buy expresso colored paint or how to paint cabinets?

You can have your paint made to any color you prefer. Just make sure that you use an an acrylic latex paint in an enamel finish--paint that is made for painting cabinets and trim. Make sure you do some prep work and prime your cabinets before you paint them. I like to have my primer tinted to the same color as my paint. That way if you end up with any dings or worn spots you don't see the white primer behind a dark paint. Expresso is a great color!

I think that would be great. Check with Sherwin Williams, I highly recommend their cabinet paint.

  • Are you looking to find it? Any paint store can mix paint to match a color such as that or you can buy the cabinet kit from Rustoleum.

I LOVE LOVE Benjamin Moore Advance (cabinet paint). Simply go find the color you want from Benjamin Moore and get the color mixed in ADVANCE. It's expensive but it is so worth it. You won't be dissappointed. I wipe it down when it gets dirty and I didn't need to apply a topcoat.

I also used Benjamin Moore's advance paint ! I did tons of research , I wanted a high quality paint that not only would hold up well , for wiping down and cleaning , since it's in the kitchen , but I was looking for a way to avoid sanding and priming . Advance paint was GREAT !!! You do have to prep your cabinets first , I used 2 products made by Krud Kutter , first their de greaser ( for cleaning ) and then their de glosser , this game off some of the shiny surface and helps the paint to adhere to your cabinets . No sanding or primer was needed !!!! I used 2 coats of paint . I did a soft white on my oak cabinets . I also glued some beadboard down first , to change the look . They have held up GREAT over the past 3 years ! I posted a tutorial on this site that gives step by step instructions and tips , called New Kitchen on a Budget . Good luck !
