How to update unused tub to storage and seating area?

I would like to convert my unused tub in my bathroom to a nice seating area and storage area

If your bathtub is up against a wall you could put a 3/4" piece of plywood down and attach with hinges to raise and lower it. The plywood could be covered with padding and a pretty print, just staple in place.
If it is a fiberglass tub, you will need to be cautious of the weight load on the frame.
I would use 3/4" plywood and add cushions. To disguise that it is a tub, add stone to the side of the tub for an upscale look.
