Repair patio seating?
I have plastic web patio set with the weave breaking in spots. Any way to repair without redoing it all or stopping further breaking of weave?

Hi. I have a patio table that is in great shape, except for the 6 "table rim clips" that are disintegrating. The part is approx 2 1/4 X 1 1/2. The molded "cup" sectio... See more
I'm wondering if you added a cushion to prevent further breakdown.
If you can find webbing that matching or "goes" with the current webbing, you could replace only the pieces that are damaged.
Make sure to keep it in a protected area when it isn't in use. That should help as well.

I would replace all the webbing if you have sagging problems or breakage- the webbing could be older and you would just have to replace pieces each time one breaks here is some info to help you out

Hi Linda, the only way I can think of to stop further damage is some type of clear glue. If you can use a glue that would slide down between the weave it would hold it together and keep it from come further apart. If it is plastic you could try an epoxy. Best of luck!

Hello Linda,
If you can find the webbing tie underneath at the frame and then weave over to strengthen the chair, ending up fastening up underneath. If unable to find webbing, look for plastic door curtain that has streamers to ward off flies, that you could use instead.
Good luck........

Broken Patio Chair Rescue!!
Linda, could you post a picture of the chair showing the actual area that the webbing is damaged?
It is almost impossible to second guess what type of 'plastic web patio chair' you have without seeing a photo, as there are countless different styles, and ways that the covering is attached to the frame.
Hi Linda. I agree with Flipturn. A picture would really help us give you the best advice. It's difficult to know what plastic web set you have and what materials you will need to repair it. The shape of the chairs and the frames are important too. Linda, I'm hoping you will come back to us with a photo. We would love to help you.
Hi! Have you looked at the repair kits online? If you know the manufacturer, their website may have the parts you need and maybe a tutorial. Good luck and stay safe!
Many manufacturers have replacement slings. We were able to buy slings for steel furniture from the 1980s
They do sell repair strips in a roll but there hard to find try ebay
If your chairs are disintegrating from the weather, they may need to be replaced. You could try to make a cover for the furniture but the weave may not hold up.
