Mixing clay paint with chalk paint?

Hello. Most water base paint can commonly be mixed together but you do dilutes/ disrupt the properties characteristic to each paint. Particularly in the sheen effect department.
Hi Marsha, you can definitely mix any type of water based paint together. Make sure and mix it WELL that would be the biggest hurdle to make sure those paints fully get together. After that the sheen may change depending on what type of paint you're mixing but I would think two chalk or clay paints would have the same matte sheen.
Hi Marsha, You shouldn't have a problem mixed them. You could always try mixing a few spoonfuls to make sure it is a consitencey that you like and are happy with.
