Hi Deb, it is really personal preference and how much your couch is used. This video might help with some tips though... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nrRmOCqRjEk
There is no right and wrong. But add smaller in front of bigger and be bold to mix patterns and colors. Bright contrasting pillows can add a great pop of color to the room. I have a purple couch with light lime green and magenta pillow with a tapestry one with all three colors in it. It is so bold and pretty it brightens the entire room. They are all different sizes.
HELLO Deb,
Square on, corner on anyway you think looks good to you. Stack them spread them, no matter what you do they will always need rearranging from time to time, so you will have plenty of time to change them around - Add round ones and oblong, match them or not. Add ones with tassels or fringes or mix them up. One colour or many. Have fun!
Do you have the pillows already? Can you share a photo?
Hi Deb, no rules! It really is personal prefeence and a great way to express personality by making a few pillows yourself. Here's an article for your inspiration.
