How can I make waist bands not slip down?
I was thinking using hot glue some how, like I would make children's shoes non slip. Can't find anything DIY.

Hello Susan,
In the fashion trade this is called a "Worth's Band". What you need to do is to sew loops around the waistband of the item in question (as many or as little as will do the job).
Then thread through the loops a cord or elastic. If elastic join together the ends. If cord - tie a bow. That will stop it from drifting. Best wishes.
P.S. Learnt this trick from a fashion model, years ago.......
sew elastic to the inside of the waistband. If the waistband is a little too loose causing it to slip down, stretch the elastic a little bit as you apply. I have done this and it works great. Good luck.

Hi Susan, can you snip a little of the seam and then cinch the elastic to make it tighter? I am not sure how easy it is to get to the elastic but it might be easy enough to rip out a couple of stitches. Good luck!
What about adding material like they put on the inside of women's nylon footies? It's a type of rubber and you can probably find it at a fabric or craft center. I've seen "dots" of them.
It is dot nonslip elastic tape. Comes in a roll and made out of silicon! Thank you so much. I tried to get a picture of it to send, but am not tech savvy enough.
Thank you so much. Exactly what I was referring to!
