Mix a teaspoon of bleach in 2 quarts of water and use it to scrub the stain with a brush. If it's resistant, try a solution of bleach & water 50/50.
Hi Diane, sorry you are having a bad time getting the black stains off you cutting board. Hope this will help you.
Begin by diluting your chlorine bleach properly. 2 teaspoons per half gallon of warm water is the ideal solution strength for removing mold from wood cutting boards. Using a kitchen scrubbing brush, gently scrub your cutting board in the bleach solution until the mold has all been taken care of.Oct 18, 2018

Though it may not be the first chemical you reach for when cleaning your kitchen, bleach is a safe disinfectant to use around food when used properly. Plus, it's an excellent mold killer. Bleach will keep any kind of cutting boards clean and free of bacteria -- whether it's wood, plastic or glass. For cutting board cleaning and mold removal, mix 1 teaspoon of bleach into 2 quarts of water. Dip a scrub brush into the mixture and scrub the cutting board with it, moving the brush in small circles to work the solution into all the nooks and crannies. When cleaning a wooden board or butcher block with bleach and water, use the mixture sparingly to avoid saturating the board. If the mold is resistant, try a more potent solution of 50/50 bleach and water,
but do not make the mixture any stronger.
If all else fails you can sand off the black part!
that is my specialty look me up at house doctor POMALES.com
Vinegar will kill mold but the stain will still be there. Since food comes in contact, I would either sand it down or replace it rather than take a chance on transferring to food.
Simply buy a new one
Being wood is a porous item I would try to sand it completely out. It its impossible could the reverse side be used?
Sanding it down may be your only option. Then seal it and try to keep it always wiped clean
Mold growth should be treated quickly to prevent it from spreading. You need to check your water supply for leaks or problems. You should also wipe up spills as soon as they occur. If you want to remove mold from your home, you should consider hiring a professional
