We do not have an inside laundry room, the washer and dryer are in the garage. The laundry tub was really a utility tub and always stained. After replacing a couple times over the years we just went to a black tub from HD.
Hi Yvonne, can you try something (or have you tried) something like CLR? It is great for removing stains and hard water or calcium buildup. I have found it really helps to clean things up.
Here's some help for you:

I would try vinegar and baking soda. Sprinkle the baking soda in the sink and then add vinegar, It was start to bubble. Spread it around with a sponge and let it sit for 45-60 minutes. Rinse. I've also heard that denture tablets work.
here is some info and all else fails you can always paint it

Hello Yvonne,
Maybe it needs to be resurfaced or replaced?
Hello Yvonne, hope these help you
How to clean a stained plastic sink - Spray the entire sink with a white vinegar and water mixture. Combine 1/4 cup of vinegar for every cup of water used in a spray bottle, and use a soft-bristle brush to gently scrub the sink. White vinegar will also disinfect the sink. - you could likely also paint it Krylon Fusion for Plastic and Rust-Oleum Paint for Plastic stick to most hard plastics, so they are likely to work regardless of whether your sink is acrylic, polypropylene, fiberglass composite or any of the other plastics commonly found in laundry sinks these days.
For fiberglass - Scrub with baking soda and warm water: Using a soft cloth or sponge, dampen the cloth and sprinkle baking soda over it. Scrub the sink using medium pressure, aiming to remove water deposits, dirt and mineral stains. Use another damp cloth to remove the baking soda.

How to Rejuvenate Plastic Sinks
https://homeguides.sfgate.com/rejuvenate-plastic-sinks-25413.html
If the laundry tub you are referring to is one of the inexpensive vinyl coated builder-grade styles, then chances are it is too stained, or too far damaged to be entirely rejuvenated. Once the plastic becomes scratched and scored, due to its porosity, it will absorb different color dyes, continuing to discoloring the plastic.
I would say after 20 years, your tub has long passed its 'best before' shelf life.
Considering the price of materials and supplies to try to clean the tub, plus your time, it may be more cost effective to simply replace it with a new model.
If you plan to use the new tub for washing small items and hand laundering garments, then I would recommend that you consider replacing the old tub with a standard height stainless steel sink. They do not require bending over at an awkward angle, which is easier on the back, and will yield more under-sink storage space as well.
Use baking soda n lemon scrub with that it will be white or spray Clorox bleach
I will try this!
Lemon essential oil with baking soda
Try Cerama Bryte. It works great to remove stains from my sink.
I have the same issue with mine because it is plastic. I scrub with baking soda and hydrogen peroxide using a scrub daddy. However, I just had a thought and I’m going to try wet and forget shower. It has done such a great job on my tub, so I’m thinking it’s worth a shot.

You could try vinegar, vinegar and baking soda, or rubbing alcohol if it’s the plastic tub type.
