Hi Susie. There's a new paint on the market called Beyond Paint. It's a bit pricey but it eliminates the steps of stripping, sanding, and priming. Your cabinets should be clean before starting. You can purchase it at any home improvement center like Lowe's, Home Depot, Ace Hardware and on Amazon. You will find more info at info@beyondpaint.com. Good luck Susie.
Hi! I have preferences like anybody else. Best paint is always the paint that is right for the surface you are painting. Do a little research on recommended paint for your surface. I always spend the most amount of time preparing the surface. I also always use a good primer/sealer like Kilz first, so I don't have any bleed through from either the wood or the old finish. You can also get the sealer tinted to match your paint, so you have a nice extra layer of your color. Some paint doesn't recommend a polyurethane sealer, but, unless it's recommended against, I would in the kitchen. Think of all the things that get spilled, etc. You want a surface that's easy to clean. Ask for help at a paint counter, also. Stay safe!

Just a quick not, I made a key holder and painted it with chalk paint, it has held up perfectly even with all the keys being hung on it, no scrapes or scratches
Hi! The easiest and best paint is one that is affordable, durable and easy to apply. If your prep is good, it will adhere better and last longer. Go to a paint store where you can find out the best paint for your surface. Sherwin Williams, and Behr are both excellent products. Good luck and stay safe!
