I'm not sure what you mean by 'lights behind', but you could use a string of clear lights behind the shutters.

That would be very pretty. You can hang vertically and add a small shelf putting them left and right with maybe a small wreath between or hang horizontally to look more like a traditional headboard.

Attach them with eather hinges or metal brackets to keep them together then add on the bottom a plug bar and screw in to the bottom to plug lights into.
