How to spray paint metal sling chairs a pastel color?
has anyone spray painted black metal outdoor chairs with beige mesh seats a different color than black? I'd like to update my black metal sling chairs and have only seen refreshing by repainting the frames black again. But I'd like to go with a silver, sea foam, or light blue color for a more beachy look. thank you for sharing any before and after pictures.

Cover and tape off the mesh seats and backs. Lightly sand to roughen up the finish. Prime with Rustoleum spray primer. Then spray paint your color with Rustoleum 2X spray paint. Several light coats will give you a smooth finish.

I don't see why you can't change the color - just use an outdoor rated spray paint!
My grandparents had some old metal chairs. I sanded them down to the metal (that was the biggest job since they had many coats of different colors of paint.
Took many very light coats to avoid runs.
Used Krylon colormaster paint and primer combo. Like that is dries in less then 15 minutes and using on metal is specifically mentioned on the label.
Painted these chairs about 4 years ago and they still look great today.
Hello there,
Use Rust Oleum or Hammerite for Metal surfaces.
You can definitely do this. You might use a light color primer spray first then pick your color of choice and spray away.
Yes, you can paint your metal chairs in a pastel color. I'd suggest a white primer made for spraying metal, then when covered well, spray with a couple of coats of the color of your choice. The chairs will look completely different and fresh! Good luck!
Just use spray paint primer and a high quality spray paint and I’m sure it will look fab!
Spray paint will work the best
