Not ready to connect house and covered carport with a screened porch
Thinking about using those cool looking canvas shades, at different angles, and affixed to poles or the house and carport...any advice or suggestions welcomed. This is a temporary solution, but if we like it, it may stay in some form

This would definitely be an out of the box way to connect the two. But if you do it right, I think it could be cool. I think you will need to make some type of frame for the shades to rest against on the sides so they won't flap in the breeze or get torn in high winds. Perhaps as if you are going to make it a screened area but only use shades.

You certainly could do this. Just be sure you're securing everything to very sturdy spots with strong hardware and tighten everything well. Shade sails are definitely great.

Hello, I think they work great, use a strong parachute cord to mount them. They are fairly sturdy, but it all depends on the mount, start with a lower priced nylon brand , and if they do what you like, move up to the canvas for a longer lasting solution.
