Country Design Style-Jeanette on Jul 28, 2012I just looked and there is not a signature in sight. A lamp base is a good idea. The wiring would have to come from the top because the base has no openings or holes for wires.Helpful Reply

C on Sep 21, 2016Looks like the base to a lamp to me. Some of the old lamps had metal bases and then the cord came right from the bulb socked. I have a 1915 record player lamp that is that way.Helpful Reply
