Is it possible to add a window to an existing wall?

Woodbridge Environmental Tiptophouse.com on Sep 26, 2012Sure, windows are easy to do. Cost would depend upon the construction type of your home, age, type of siding. But a two foot wide, by three foot high window would run around $1,500 or so. But that number can change depending upon many variables. Might go up or down a bit.Helpful Reply

Woodbridge Environmental Tiptophouse.com on Sep 27, 2012You can find a contractor on this site. On the top blue bar you will see Members & Pros. You can find people that you see often on this site in your area that can assist you. Be sure permits are pulled. As this is a structural renovation. A support header will be needed above the window. Also read the payment information on the permit. It will instruct you NOT to pay the final invoice until the install was approved by the local building department. This assures that the job was done properly according to the local codes. You should not pay much more then 30% down with final payment when done. This whole job is about two days to be ready for paint.Helpful Reply
