Barb in Texas on Aug 20, 2015For years I lived in a room with open beams instead of a ceiling, and the cats loved to wander around up there. I put shelves off-set on one wall so that they could jump from one to the next and then into the rafters. Can't help with your window situation, but I know cats! I can tell you that some electrical conduit from Lowe's or HD, some connectors from same, and some inexpensive sheers from IKEA will cover even 53' fairly cheaply. There's a woman who posted how she did it on this site.Helpful Reply

PainterNoni on Aug 20, 2015Hoa long is your couch? If it is 6 ft or less........look for old waterbed or similar bookcase headboard. some of the old ones can be very attractive and are the right depth. Or find a sturdy bookshelf. If a heaboard.......put sliders underneath, so can be easily moved. If a bookcase, mount casters.Helpful Reply

Happyfeet on Aug 20, 2015Is there any place at all to attach anything to the wall, like any space in between the windows? I've seen cat seats sold in catalogs that are just basically floating shelves that attach to the wall at the window so the cats can sit and look outside.1 marked as helpful Reply

Jean on Aug 23, 2015Pinterest again! Simple table from pallets with a little extra wood. Anywhere you buy lumber will cut it for you if you don't have those kinds of tools. Paint any way you like. Good luck!!Helpful Reply
