What kind of plant can you suggest to climb on a fence in deep shade, zone 8?

Douglas Hunt on Feb 15, 2013Sheila, assuming that Canadian zones correspond with the ones in the States, one vine you might want to look into is Decumaria barbara, or woodvamp. It is a relative of climbing hydrangea that sports fragrant white flowers in late spring. It may not bloom well in deep shade, but should still provide you with some of the privacy you seek. "Vickie" is a particularly nice cultivar.Helpful Reply
