How can I extend my vanity to the wall?
I’d love some simple ideas for extending my pre-existing tiny cabinet in my 1/2 bath to go all the way to the wall. I have limited building experience but I’d like to close the gap to keep from having to clean the hard to get to space on both sides. I’d love a barn door look. Any ideas?

Perhaps a small enclosed shelving unit on each side such as the one on this Amazon link.

You could try to find or build open wood shelves that would fit on either side and go all the way down. Cute baskets could serve as "drawers" and keep all your stuff hidden. The only issue would be the countertop would not carry over.
The best option, if you have the budget, might be to find a new vanity that will fit flush in that space.
Thank you for the ideas! I haven’t been able to find a vanity for that size space. Its not a standard space so it’s either too big or too small. The shelves sound great if I could find some slim enough baskets. Thank y’all for all of your input!
Try looking at the container store or Pottery Barn. Ikea has some inexpensive shelves. I would stain them to match the cabinet.
Kirklands is another great place to shop for that sort of thing.
