Ask in paint stores about a slip resistant paint that can be put on fiberglass.

You can buy strips that glue down not very good, try a slip proof mat
Thanks for the suggestions, glue down strips have been tried and while they work they don't last very long since the person uses a walker in the tub and it quickly starts to peal off the stickers. A slip mat was also tried with poor results.
I use those rubber abrasive symbols that have sticky adhesive on the back for clients... https://www.walmart.com/ip/Dreambaby-Non-Slip-Bath-Strips-14-Pack/55486541 these also come in many designs. I also use heavy rubber shower mats with large suction cups on the back in the area someone is standing. Add a shower grab bar, you need to use 3" screws in the stud to ensure its safe.
Then if the person is really having problems showering, I add a transfer bench over the tub wall so they sit down out of the tub, slide over lifting legs into the tub - prevents falls. https://www.walmart.com/search/?query=bath%20transfer%20bench&cat_id=0 the handle goes along the shower wall and the back faces towards the shower faucet handles. I usually also add a hand-held shower with an on-off switch on the head so they can turn on the water before they get in, get on the bench, then turn the water on... https://www.walmart.com/ip/Camco-Shower-Head-White-with-On-Off-Switch/29764447
