How can I replace a bath tub with a handicap accessible shower?
My husband and I need to replace our tub with a handicap accessible ceramic tile walk in shower asap as he and I are having major health issues at the moment and it is not safe for us to get a shower anymore as he has already fell in the shower/tub a few weeks ago and hurt himself and I couldn't get him up by myself and had to call for help and it is all I can do to get a shower myself. I would like info on how to do this and if we could win the items to do this with would be great. Thanks for your help it is greatly appreciated!

You need a professional to do this. It is hard and a lot of work
This is a costly project, requiring a great deal of physical strength to remove the old tub. It also requires knowledge of Americans with Disabilities Act to correctly install the shower stall with sloping floor pan and drain. You will further need multiple grab bars installed into wall studs, for safety. You'd be better off to contact a very qualified and fully insured contractor who can give you specific written details and a minimum 5 year waranty on their work.
Have you considered a bathtub cutout? Here is a link that shows what they look like and give you an idea of the cost for a kit to do this yourself. If you prefer you can hire someone to do this but it will cost a little more.
