All of my drawers are too deep hard to organize clothes

Question

I have an issue with how deep bureau drawers are - I end up with like 7 to 10 deep in shirts the drawers are always rumpled and messy from digging -it is impossible to find an "old school" juvenile bureau which has shallow drawers allowing for clothes to only be 2 or 3 deep, which keeps every thing neat and orderly - any ideas out there? thanks so much for any input

Roll them instead of folding them. You could stand them upright in such a deep drawer or you could layer them in there By colors. When rolled there are less wrinkles.

fold your t shirts as normal, but put them in the drawer with the fold side up...it will be easy to see what you have as well as easy to access

Maybe Linda is as frustrated as I am, because my dresser drawers are waaaaay too deep. Two drawers are 10.5' deep and another two drawers are nearly a foot deep. (House was built in 1970 and this is a built-in tall and wide dresser.)

If I had shallower drawers, I'd easily be able to store clothes using the vertical 'filing' system.

Wondering if I should store something in a container at the bottom of those drawers-- in some hard container (e.g. for all the gold ingots!).

l'd so appreciate suggestions from Redditers who might think outside the... drawer.

Probably dumb, but can you use 'in and out boxes' used on Secretary desks...they stack. Or use plastic bins...shallow ones and put shirts of the same color in each bin. For small things like socks and panties, I use shoe boxes.

Yeah, the drawers nowadays are not comfortable at all! They were much better in the past, the modern ones are awful. It was freaking me out, so I have ordered a special, customized drawer, with a perfect depth.
