You can get 4 tall thin bookcases and connect them via rods (or PVC or electrical conduit) using halfround pipe straps, forming a retangle above the bed. Then you can feed your fabric onto the head and foot rods or hang panels from the sides. You may be able to find flexible plumbing pipe long enough and create an arch on the sides, but the you will need to add cross pieces to keep it from falling over.
