Well, Phy, I would scour the second hand, antiquey places for spreads and quilts; even curtains/drapes. I have also seen at the paint store with wallpaper books, some pretty cabbage rose papers, if you want to go that far! Pale, springy colors suite me, but go with your faves!

If you are looking for a vintage, shabby chic look, chalk paint and distressing techniques are your go to! You can chalk paint and distress bed frames, furniture, picture frames, etc. Neutrals, like whites, creames, beiges and beige greens and blues.
