Lay the boards all the same length side by size and nail a board across close to the top and one near the bottom and a diagonal one to join them, to form a "Z". Or you can use an "X" pattern across the middle from top board to bottom board...i.e. add another diagonal to the "Z" pattern to make an X. Hope this helps.
